Default put your money where your mouth is.

Well, it is 2 weeks to our trackday at knockhill, I hope to see some of you 200bhp remapped vrs fabias up against our tuned 210bhp fabias with hybrid turbos, exhausts, remap, brake upgrades etc. You guys that think they have 200+bhp with a remap have not got a chance.
Cheers Jim.
P.S. I challange all UK tuners.

Hehe - have fun you guys

As mine is still standard, I would only be breathing smog whilst you disappear into the sunset though

Last time mine was dyno'd I got 184.8bhp with a remap, green filter and PD160 intake.

I don't think any tuners claim 200bhp from a remap do they???

Have fun on the track and play safely!

I have to agree with Josh on this one, i've not seen any tuner claiming 200bhp. Well, maybe Ross's old car when it was running full power.

Is a lowly Octy allowed on this challenge. I think I might just be able to get it to 200bhp.

Ross's old car had a Hybrid Turbo and Exhaust though, so I'd have expected that sort of power out of it.

Where's knockhill anyway?

Long way for you to go Des.

Octys more than welcome, only one signed up so far, need a lot more. Leons, Golfs, R32, TT, Evos, on track to give the proper Octy,s a challenge.
Us Fabias are just rolling roadblocks, and AFAICR Jabba tried to tune to 200bh ( on their rollers ) but always had to back off. There were several claims like that.

Jim, BHP means nothing. Its down to the driver, and track knowledge.

Knockhill is a class circuit it's nowhere near glasgow tho at least 50 miles there parts of england closer to knockhill than glasgow.
I wont be going because i've seen the way the Fabia VRS drivers that go to star drive. Theres a mental RS4 that goes there too.

Knockhill is a track where knowledge is key so I don't suspect a non local GT3 driver to stand a chance Jim, let alone a torqe devil local

That said I'm still trying to sort mine for the trip, sadly we had to get jiggy with a grinder last weekend for the cage to fit

Us star fabias are a sedate and calm bunch, what you really need to watch out for is matchmaker in his octy out to get us

Knockhill i have to admit is a great track for the fabia, its the torque that counts on this one, the dips and twists are quite close needing alot of low down grunt,

The hairpin kinda screws us though, its a little too slow for third and its too damn fast for second, other than that its ace. As long as we can keep the petrols far enough behind us on the twisties then they "shouldnt" pass us by the end of the stright "Hill"

I had the pleasure (along with Black Magic) of frustrating the hell out of a LCR driver pushing 280bhp at the last meet, after we came in from a half dozen laps he came for a chat and was ranting how he couldnt catch me, and he thought a fab vRS was a 20VT, he sh@t himself when i told him it was diesel and had under 200hp i could see the thoughts of designs for for sale signs going thru his head.

That mental RS is Barrys, he used to frequent this site often but i havent seen him for a while, its a crazy motor but he might be a bit scunnered since he buckled a wheel last time.
