4x4 Turbo to 1.6

I decided last night that the "4x4 Turbo" badge on the back of the car had to go. I know some of you guys have replaced yours with "1.6" badges but where did you get them from, a scrappy or dealer? If dealer, anyone got a part number?

Thankyou kindly.

You could always go for 1.4 if you really wanted I got my 4x4 downgrade from a dealer, the parts manager will know what you're after (but probably won't understand *why* )

Dealer. The badge comes on the same backing paper as the Octavia badge, so ideally you need a dealer who will just sell you the bit you want. Options are:

1.4 - 1U0 853 687 FXC - £14.54
1.4 16V - 1U0 853 687A FXC - £14.54
1.6 - 1U0 853 687B FXC - a bargain at £13.71
1.6I - 1U0 853 687C KTP - £14.54
1.9SDI - 1U0 853 687G FXC - £14.54

Other unusual options are 4X4 2.0 and 4X4 TDI - although they are a bit too close to home. The cheapest option would just be to remove the 4X4turbo badge.

yes, in a bit of inverse inverse badge snobbery, I saw an estate with this badge on the other day. It was unusual enough for me to have a quick look, but it turns out that it was a rebadged lesser model

(steel wheels, no driveshafts to rear.....)

..or remove the coloured letters, so it's just embossed in the bar, cannot be read from a following car.

Don't think so, but they did make a 1.4 hatchback

But they didn't make it with a WRC wing on sadly Bit of a give away eh?

All that weight and those drivetrain losses on a powerful 1.4... Have pity on its owner.

How about a Fabia 1.4 mpi badge plus a Jabba sticker immediately below it.
Mixed messages are great - seems to work for Tony Blair & co

Why would you rebadge the car?
