Thumbs up Amazing what a quick wash & leather produces.

I wonder why I bother with polish with this car - must be some form of coating thats still on there from a previous application months ago, so didn't bother this morning with another coating. Took some piccies of course. (note festive decoration to beesting aerial )

Re: Amazing what a quick wash & leather produces.

Right my comments:

@ the ariel - love it

Do you think you've got briskoda.net on your car enough times? I can see some spaces.

Looks very low, the rear wheel especially, looks like its got some purpose to it

Liking the rear spoiler, making me want one....

And thats about it for now, nice car, looks good mate

Re: Amazing what a quick wash & leather produces.

tinsel just HAD to be done this year - and it has remained on despite a 140mph top speed attempt on a nearby private road....

Briskoda is on their 6 times now. big rear, 4 small sides, and the front screen one which was actually in furby Mk1s rear screen when it blew out on my crash - I cleaned it up and it stays on the inside of my windscreen now as a legacy to Mk1. Its one of the first original Briskoda stickers done I think... ColinD?

Its lower at the back due to me raising the front due to lack of sump guard - not even an engine tray. As I've had no issues I might re-lower it at the front to match the back, maybe then drop the back even more.

Still more to do though - front bumper needs respraying, scratches to sort out, wheels need a refurb TBH. It goes on, I'm enjoying it!

Re: Amazing what a quick wash & leather produces.

Jason, you need some tyre black to finish it off. It makes all the difference!!

Re: Amazing what a quick wash & leather produces.

I like the cut out on the front grill....
I don't like the un colour co-ordinated tinsel

I tell you what would also look good... Some Japanese spec Gof / Polo electric folding mirrors. They are actually smaller in size. Friend has them on his Mk4 Golf and look great.

Whats that written on the front grill ? I can't quite make it out......

Can't wait to pick up our new Fab Sport in a couple of weeks...........

Some more details on those would be very helpful, I didn't know they'd be possible on the Fabia

Oh, and looking very nice Jase. Was gonna do mine this morning but it's just TOO cold

I just rinsed mine this afternoon - not even any shampoo. For me, it is the Diamondbrite treatment that makes it so easy.

I notice you blanked out the square taxi plate on the front bumper.

Well, just for Chowy I went and tyre dressed all 4 bits of rubber. Can't be ar5ed to take photo's though. You'll just have to imagine.

and I blanked out both plates for obvious reasons.... Those who have seen the car know why.

Re: Amazing what a quick wash & leather produces.

I still struggle to understand why you changed from that quite fantastic BMW

Just looks stunning, a well-earned Zymol award

Which tyre dressing do you use? It's the one thing on car cleaning I haven't quite found the right product for. Have been using the Meguiars stuff but find it doesn't go on that well. The spray seems to go everywhere and then some invarably runs onto the alloy Perhaps a gel would be better, with some sort of foam applicator. Suggestions?

Steve

Re: Amazing what a quick wash & leather produces.

I think its because it didn't have a Skoda badge on the front.

I've used just about every brand! I used to be pleased with Amoral spray but like you said, it gets on the wheels and didn't last long.

I then switched to Wonder Wheels tyre dressing that came in a bottle and had a small sponge applicator and this was my fave but they stopped making it!

I tried Meguires tyre gel which had good results but was sticky and horrible to apply.

Then I won the Zymol competition and got £100 worth of free products, so it would have been rude not to try thier tyre dressing. This gave more of a satin type finish which I liked but it's pricey and like meguires, a little messy to apply.

I have now ran out and I'm reluctant to pay Zymol prices so I have switched back to the Meguires tyre gel. I have found that if you use a small sponge and use a freezer bag to put your hand in, like a glove, it doesn't get too messy!! and it looks better than yellow Marigolds!

PS I love my Fabia just as much as the M3!! and much cheaper to run....

Need to take some good pics of the Furby after I get it Zymoled next. It will be in spring now after I stick on my Octy 17's. Seems strange to apply £1500 wax to a Skoda!!
