| Bead Fitting/Tyre Sizes I'm struggling to work out whether the alloys i'm looking at for my new chariot will actually fit with the required tyre sizes. I've already consulted the Wheel & Tyre Bible to ascertain that the best tyre size to maintain speedo accuracy (if there is such a thing) would be: 225/45/R17 The alloys in question are Mille Miglia EV-S which come in 7, 7.5 and 8J sizes in 17". My head was already hurting, but then it states "the tyre width is larger than the width of the bead fitting" What the.? So , can one of our tyre techies tell me, will a 225/45/R17 tyre fit on the wheels in question? Or do I have to find something else ? |
