Best place for one off sticker for steering wheel badge

I still have a VW badged airbag and really want this sorting. I'm after a chrome or brushed ali skoda badge on a black background making up in vinyl at the right size to cover the badge on the steering wheel airbag.

Only a few making up (just incase I mess up when fitting) and wondered if someone can suggest where I could get them made up and how much I could expect to pay.

Be wary of stickers on hemispherical surfaces - you'll get crinkles.

That's why I'd get a few and would hope using a hairdryer when fitting would help. It's gotta be worth a try to cover the VW badge.

What size do you need mate? Would 'resin domes' be any good? I think they'd be OK if the vw one can come off, no so if not.

The VW one doesn't come off, it's not that curved though. I believe vRS owners have done similar with vRS badges they had made up.

I'll check the diameter tonight.

Re: Best place for one off sticker for steering wheel badge

I know someone had some VRS wheel center cap stickers made up and they looked bloody awfull due to the curvature.

Could be the fault of the fitter though.

Has anyone tried to remove the steering wheel badge?

Eddy is the airbag cover the same on the fabia vrs compared to the R32 wheel. They look similar in pictures. Is it not possible to swpa them over if you had one say of a fabia vrs or octy vrs?

Yes but they're nearly impossible to find used and are VERY expensive new.

Re: Best place for one off sticker for steering wheel badge

Breaks yard around my way had a T boned furby VRS and the airbags hadn't deployed from what i saw.

Want me to have a nosey see if they still have the airbag cover?
I take it you are talking the bit of plastic from the center of the wheel that covers the bolt that attaches the wheel to the column (and the airbag on cars with them).

Guess you could ask harry as i doubt his bags went off when he went upside down.

The cover is integral to the airbag so needs to be one complete unit. If you could check it out for me it would be appreciated.

I've been thinking about trying the vRS idea, anyone fancy sharing their ideas, tips and photos. Or where to buy?

Cheers

The bag had gone, and on asking the local garage has beaten you to it.

Sorry
