| Bright idea - which bulbs to go for? Hi all, Im after some upgraded dipped lights for my furby. I fancy a white / blueish light whilst having something that can provide more light on the road than cheap regular bulbs. My brother has said that he would go for the Night Breakers, but Im wondering if anyone has any experience of them or the others that I have suggested below and which you would recommend? | Re: Bright idea - which bulbs to go for? Hi, I have tried a few upgrade bulbs in the past (incl HID Kits) and by far the best are the Nightbreakers, especially behind a projector lens. Others I have had you cant really see any difference (except HID's) only the nightbreakers offer a noticeable and legal improvement IMO They havent got a blue tint on the glass as this would slightly reduce the output but if going behind a projector lens that gives some nice rainbow type colours to approaching traffic and starts to look like a Xenon bulb. Steve

| Re: Bright idea - which bulbs to go for? I've heard that the new Philips DiamondVision are close to XENON light output and colour... bit pricey at £43 though

| Re: Bright idea - which bulbs to go for? Just a quicky I have got NightBreakers in my Roomster Scout and they seem to have gone off the boil a bit. I had Philips Xtreme's in my Octy before it and they seemed to be about the same brightness but always appeared "as bright". There seems to be (on mine) a noticeable degradation in the nightbreakers performance over the first few months and now I really don't think they are better than the stock bulb's. This may not apply to all the Osram's but perhaps Philips have better quality control and are more consistent? |

| Briskodian | Re: Bright idea - which bulbs to go for? Totally agree. Wanted the diamonds but just too expensive IMO. Just bought some philips xtremes and blue vision sidelight bulbs. Let you know the results. |

| Re: Bright idea - which bulbs to go for? I have xtremes- vision is very good and quite a white light, still a hint of that halogen yellow though.

| Re: Bright idea - which bulbs to go for? I have Phillips Extreme +80%. Seem to be very good. Did have 130w Rallye bulbs in but took them out and replaced with 100w as they got rather hot. Mark |

| Re: Bright idea - which bulbs to go for? I remember the days when I had a HID kit in Lit up the road for about a mile haha. and the fields and the birds having a sleep in the tree and got flashed whenever I carried anyone in the back so took them out waste of time
