Bumper and side strips

hi all,

has anyone painted the bumper and side strips on their octy? im not a fan of the textured plastic on modern cars, unless is shows contrast. but as mine is a black vRs i think it would look better painted, what do u think?

I recall someone with a red vRS having his painted to match, but I can't remember who exactly.

Kenny.

I've seen this done on a few cars recently, and if you want my opinion it looks bloody awful.

But, each to their own etc

I think it depends on what sort of strips you want. Painting the textured ones would probably look a bit ka-ka. (No offence Steve, horses for courses etc) However, if you could get the smooth body coloured ones like on the higher spec Golfs that would probably look good. My old low spec Golf had the same ones as the Octavia (black on a red car) but the body coloured ones on the SE's etc always looked smart. Maybe someone like Butts do replacements?
