Angry Car washes are crap

OK, I know its generally frowned upon to use a car wash, but I did so today, as I wanted the car cleaned and I am hungover.

Not only did it fail to get the insects off the front of my car wash, but also you will know that the Fabia vRS does not have a removable arial. I was slightly concerned about this, but because it bends quite easily I thought it would be ok. Well, the tip of the arial has snapped off and its left an [admittedly tiny] mark on the top of the car where it must of hit off the roof.

£5 and an utter waste of money.

Moral to this story, dont bother. I wont be again.

Add to this when I was hoovering the inside of my car before, the bloody thing fell over and put a scratch down the door Luckily its covered up OK with T-Cut.

No !!!!!!!!

Stopped using automatic carwashes, several years ago because of the damage they can cause to the paintwork.

Try and find somewhere that does hand washes, there springing up all over the place. My local place jetwash, handwash and dry the car for £6.00.

Please promise you won't do it again.

Oh, I definitely wont be doing that again. Total waste of money, and I am really quite ****ed off about it, and with myself for being too lazy to wash it myself. I wouldnt care so much, but there is a handwashing place near where I live, but I ruled it out as being too expensive, but from what you are saying maybe its not.

I'm sorry, please forgive my hungover stupidity

Or you hand wash it yourself at a jetwash. Tescos are good, just feed it with pound coins (takes £3 to do a *full* wash on a Smart) and they use demineralised water so you don't get horrible white marks when the water dries...

Sounds like a challenge...

Was that using all 6 options?

Yep, I did it for 1 pound once but it was a little rushed to say the least. IIRC at the Jabba meet, when we met up at the Tesco with Joel I washed Jonno's and GSM's cars for a quid each car.

The aeiral on the Fabia doesnt come off but if you unscrew it as far as you can and lay it down it wont get damaged.

Well, at Tesco you get 3 minutes for a £1...so that's seriously swift wand-waving!
