The chav in me is speaking...

At that VW day the other day there were a lot of silver VWs with smoked rear clusters and they looked pretty sweet, I'm thinking a *subtle* smoke on the rear light cluster might be in order. Anybody got any pics of some lightly smoked rear lights on a fabia? Preferably a silver one

I'm probably not thinking that dark - and definitely want them to be shiny. Don't like the matt black look I'm afraid... Just a slight tint would suit I reckon, maybe just the red bits... hmmm...

You rang m'lord?

Yeah I have mine tinted, though I'm thinking of changing mine as I'm bored with them now, it's hard to get a good finish with the tint spray unless you can find the polish to go with it.................or so I was told

Justin aren't you keeping your furby standard?

Absolutely!!!

PS you don't need special polish - T CUT will do it, or failing that, a buff with a spot of cellulose thinners...

PS on a darkened theme, the next mod I'm not thinking of doing is a set of 17" Octy vRS wheels, not sprayed in a gunmetal metallic shade...

Go easy with it, cellulose thinners will also remove the tints if you rub it hard enough... although speaking from experience of having to do it on the reversing lights in the above pic, it takes a very long time to rub it off!!!!!

Has anybody fitted Audi TT 17" 6 spokes to their Fabia? They seem to be going much cheaper than Octy wheels...

Not seen any of the six spokes but seen a Fabia on the comp wheels, they are of the same dimension so they wont be a problem with rubbing etc.

A friend has them on his MK4 Ibiza (black one) and they really suit the car.

After using it too heavily just now I can confirm cellulose thinners will remove the spray. But press down too hard and you will get micro-crazing in the plastic
