The country with the EU symbol or country's local flag and the recognised symbol for that country (eg GB not ENG) are the only legal options should the Country identifier be used. If you have a French registered car you can not put GB stickers or GB plates on it etc. By displaying CZ on a GB car it is misleading other road users that the car is from the CZ. This is as i remember it though, so I'm willing to be corrected.
