Chrome stuff.... or not chrome stuff...

I've been thinking (idley, as usual) about my car and how it looks. (Fabia VRS)

It's picked up a few little scuffs and scratches over the past year and 3/4s. Particularly, the n/s mirror cover and the driver's door behind the handle.

Also, I've always thought the front looks a little bluff and cliff like, with nothing to draw the eye in.

Here's a side view from a while ago.

Also, a front view.

I'm thinking of adding chrome mirror covers and/or door handle covers or scuff plates.

Mirror covers.

Handle covers and door handle scuff protectors.

Also, fog light surrounds.

Civilly worded Suggestions are welcome.

J.

Re: Chrome stuff.... or not chrome stuff...

not sure about the door handles (though the dark scuff protectors might be a good idea) or the wing mirrors, but I'd be interested to see how the chrome fog surrounds look.

A lot of people here (or so it seems) don't like the chrome grill and get it body coloured instead - I on the other hand like splash of something shiny on the front, so adding a bit more might look nice

As above!
Not sure on the handles, but the rest looks good

Re: Chrome stuff.... or not chrome stuff...

I like the plain Chrome handles , and the scuff protectors would do the job nicely on a Black car , but the best bit is those foglight surrounds , they would look mint on a Black vRS! Black n Chrome is a great combo , IMHO anyway!

Those Fog light chrome bits wont fit, or is it just a library pic?

Re: Chrome stuff.... or not chrome stuff...

I have the chrome handles on my Silver VRS and think they are great, have not gone for the handle scuff trim as I don't think they would look good on my silver VRS (having big black trim behind the handles) but on your black one would look good. Also I like the fog trims but they are a lot of money for what they are.

You can get these handles and scuff trims in carbon style, maybe they would look better on the black VRS.

F!oo, I hope they do fit. Seems to be the only popular choice.

It's a Milotec picture, from their website.

<scurries off to Milotec to refresh memory>

They just state - suitable for sallon/estate/hatch etc. No restrictions mentioned....

Butt's brochure/price list doesn't mention them

Guess I'll have to e-mail them or "wing it".

Re: Chrome stuff.... or not chrome stuff...

just a thought, probably is a library pic if they have it listed, but the fabia has a wee take of on either side of the fog and that one in the pic only has one.

Re: Chrome stuff.... or not chrome stuff...

I've been sitting trying to work out what the car is with the chrome fog surrounds

it's the shiny hexagonal grill next to is that's putting me off

Re: Chrome stuff.... or not chrome stuff...

Remember the vRS has 'one off' foglamps that are different to the 'base' models . Im sure this applies to cars before and after the 2005 front end facelift.
