| Chromed Exhaust Trim I am thinking about getting the Chromed Exhaust Trim for my Octavia II 2.0 TDi. Having looked at the pictures and compared against my current exhaust I dont understand how the current pipes go from a curve downwards to the straight exhaust trim as posted with the part number? Any ideas? The cheapest I can find this is £45 and I also assume its fairly straight forward to attach? |

| Re: Chromed Exhaust Trim Looks like it is a petrol octavia part only. Unless you've replaced the back part of the exhaust? |

| Re: Chromed Exhaust Trim That's what I thought..... but if you look at the following it does say "Product Details: Chrome plated exhaust end piece for vehicles without the rear bumper spoiler. This part is screwed / clamped in place. Information: 2.0 TDI Suitable For: New Octavia Price: £45.00 (Including: VAT at 17.5%)" There are also other seperate products listed for the petrol and 1.9TDI ? Grasmere Octavia A5 Exteriot Styling The reason I looked is because the tips of the exhaust are now BLACK and I dont fancy scrubbing them for hours on my back !!! |

| Re: Chromed Exhaust Trim IIRC, these simply bolt onto the existing down facing exhaust. The exhaust gasses come out through holes in the bottom of the trim, nothing comes out from the straight out pointing holes, they are for decoration.

| Briskodian | Re: Chromed Exhaust Trim Have you checked the Milotec ones? Download the fitting instructions and you'll see you need to cut the existing ones and then you attach the new ones with bolts. It's better then the Skoda ones once that when (if you need to) you replace the muffler, you reuse them. |
