cleaning the backbox

ive had this idea in my head about cleaning the back box (de coke or something). once in a blue moon i will stick the jet wash in it to wash out some cr@p and notice a slightly more sportier note once done. but was wondering if there was an easier way of cleaning the back box, preferbly without having to take it off.

please note before someone flames that its an idea and thats how its staying for the moment.

The sportier note might just be it getting the water out.

I wouldn't put a jet wash into an exhaust unless you want water to end up in places it shouldn't I'm guessing it could get to the turbo/engine with enough pressure. That plus the pressure might damage the silencer.

Just my 2p.

always wondered this, but think about how long the average pipe is, plus youve got the rear baffles, normally a centre section then at least 1 cat as well. thats all before going up the manifolds and into the engine or turbo.

you'd have to have some pressure (or knackered silencers and cats lol!)

i suppose it depends on what the baffles are made of as to what you need to do to clean them? ive never thought about it tbh
