Paint matching issue/interior roof upholstery query

To cut a long story short, I had a little bump in my octy and required a new tailgate and back bumper, went to collect the car today after repairs and the colour match was out, they have now offered to paint the back left and right quarters which extend to the wing mirrors. Does this sound like normal practice for colour blending? He did seem to think that the O/S rear quarter had been re-painted at some time. Don't want the car to look any worse and wondering why they ain't just repainting the new tailgate and bumper.

To add insult to injury they manage to pull back and damage the roof upholstery in front of the rear windscreen, looks like that cardboard stuff behind the cloth had broken leaving a very noticable crease . Any ideas on reparing this?

Oh and the tailgate seems to be lower at the O/S. Wish I hadn't gone with the insurance repairers now...

Very p***ed of with the garage that did the work as they seem to have damaged bits of the car which were fine before. They also managed to smear one of my doors with filler, so some bloke had to clean and polish it out whilst I waited.

Sorry for ranting, but it's been a long day...

Thanks in advance

Phone the insurance tell them you are not happy and make them sort it.

Re: Paint matching issue/interior roof upholstery query

Also just noticed now that my rear fog lamp is on all the time the side lights/normal lights are on since I got car back...

What really gets me is that there was no reason at all to touch the light clusters or wiring as the quarter panels weren't damaged at all. Finding more evidence of scrathes, foot marks on upholstery, these guys seem to butcher cars whilst at the same time trying to repair accident damage.

Grrr...

Need to chill

Re: Paint matching issue/interior roof upholstery query

Insurance are aware, car is going to have quarter panels painted to blend the repainted tailgate and bumper in. Also mentioned other damage they've caused, which they will deny I'm sure. When the guy was cleaning the filler off the door it exposed a largish chip, I said to him that it wasn't they're before, which he refused to believe, chip wasn't on the car plan scratch/dent sheet which they filled out on picking up the car. Do these guys think they can get away with anything? I'm not going to back down on this one, just hard not to go straight to the garage and start shouting...

Again Grr...
