Default what to do?

ive taken the rub strips off today and come across a problem. the driver side looks great but the passenger side has left an indent where the strip used to be. it looks to me like the two doors have been resprayed before i got it and sprayed round the strips leaving a line the width of the strip by the thickness of the paint where it used to be.

has anyone got any ideas on how i can tackle this? you can only see it if you look closely!

if there is a line in the paint then a repray is probably the only way to get it looking spot on.

What about colour coding the rub strips and putting them back?

Did you purchase the car from a dealer, if so take it back and see if they can do anything about it....They may have known about it or even tarted it up to sell...Just a thought.............Andy

The strips removed isn't the issue here. The fact is they have sold you a car, perhaps knowingly, that was damaged and repaired possibly by them and then sold to you.....I'd be not best pleased.....

Was it a new car?

I talk to the local approved bdy shop owner in my area and he paints them before delivery quite frequently - Often as a result of transporter damage.
