Exclamation Re: New Skin?

Well after waiting 24hrs or so since I logged in to find these changes I'd like to start by giving a big to Colin. Can't be an easy thing running one of these...

As a member on here as well as VwVortex & SeatCupra... I have to say this is for the most part the easiest of the bunch to use/navigate. Something I like from the SeatCupra forum is that whenever I post in a thread I automatically am signed up to that thread! The previous skin had a much more friendly personal feel, where-as this new skin is a bit like walking into a modern hospital all's squeaky clean yet you could be anywhere in the world as it's the same floor-plan much of the rest of the world are using & kind of leaves you with that same hospital feeling of dread even if you came for a happy ocasion...
Thanx! Let's bring these back ASAP neither of the other forums I'm an active member on use them & I dare think it has allot to do with the often lack of civility shown!!!
All-in-all good to see things moving forward.

Try using the "home" key on your keyboard, then you can go to the top of the page without scrolling all the way to the bottom! Or you could always use the "End" key to get to the bottom.

This is the first thread I've read since being absent for a couple of days and I like it so far. I wondered what the heck I'd done when I saw I had two notifications waiting for me on signing in!

Re: New Skin?

If you click on 'Quote' - the colour of the rest of the thread is more restful.

+ smaller font please so we can see all links etc without having to scroll (but I think that is planned anyway).

not sure what happened here, but this thread:
Saw this at todays Breakfast Club
Shows the old forum style ?

Thanks

Just realized only have this prob with safari on my iPod touch, IE 7 on my PC is fine

Cheers

Like the colours, but could possibly use a smaller font. Some quote boxes are taking up the whole screen!!

Just noticed that one of the banner ads blocks out Home and the first half of Reviews at the top of the page.

Sleep is for the weak!!!

Keep up the good work Colin.

Is it possible the banners could be say 10% smaller, and thus fit higher up the page??

Banner is still blocking the title, other than that the latest upgrade has cured the slideing bar at the bottom of the page

Re: New Skin?

Im not sure, it might grow on me.

I love the green stripe at the top, but I think the forum font looks a bit big, like for the hard of seeing or something, but the rest looks a little fresher

Re: New Skin?

If i click on the quick links button at the top of the page when on the home page it doesn't bring up the drop down list..... I have to enter the actual forums then click on the quick links button for it to then give me a drop down..... Used to work straight from the homepage on the old forum as i use it everytime i visit the site to check my subscribed threads before then going to 'new posts'.

I've checked this with both Firefox 3.0 and IE 7.0

Also will the bit on the left side which says what car you have be returning???

Cheers

Dave.
