Registered email addresses

Hi,

You may have just received an email from BRISKODA highlighting two events for this year as we've just completed a mailshot to all registered BRISKODA members.

If you haven't received this, can you please, please, pretty please, verify that your email address that you used to register on the forums is correct and working. Out of 13599 emails send, we received a shocking 1600+ bounced emails. You can find your email address (and the option to change it) in your User CP.

If you haven't received the email, but your email address is working, please make sure that you have disabled any spam filtering/email challenge for the webmaster @briskoda.net email address. I appreciate the requirement for active spam filtering, but if you do not allow email from the forums to come to your account, you will never receive it.

Another reason why you may have not received the email is because you have unchecked the 'Receive Email from Administrators' option in your User CP. This is down to personal choice, but as our mail volume is extremely low (some say, too low), you may be missing out on vital information that we would like to share with you through this way.

Is there any chance we can obtain this info if we were over zealous in our don't send me any e-mails at all selection when we joined up?

i get the thread update emails, so my address must be ok....

i'll have a look at the security settings methinks... i dont ever remember changing them tho, so they must be the default settings

A very valid point. Normally these emails will be used to highlight an upcoming event of which you would normally have seen the tread detailing the event already.

I was over zealous and set the don't send me anything at all options when I joined up.

have just changed my email addy, couldn't remember my sign in for the one I'd registered with :-S

Can the emails you sent out be re-sent?

No, the emails are not marked against an account, so it is impossible to find out who received it or not (apart from checking it against the 1600+ bounced email addresses).

My email address is correct and I have the tick in the box to receive mail from administrators , but nothing showed up
