There's a case for gearkn0b to be allowed, but I don't think the "D" word really should. What general application does the word have, despite being an abbreviation for a name?

well, you can still say (type) it if you like, but at least the filter will prevent us all from having to read it .

Also... the radio edit of Whetus' "Teenage Dirtbag" censors the word "gun", but not "d1ck"... Just maybe something for you to think about?

Do we need to be prevented from having to read it?

I know this is a family friendly forum , but some of what's blocked is incredibly mild and most people will just bypass the filter with D|CK or any one of a number of alternatives.

Is anyone here really offended by the word in question?

surely you will get a second infraction for this post then?

or was it just a moderator being a d1ck or d1cking around? perhaps some of them are of limited intellect?

if infractions are given for typing words then it should be automatic - not moderator controlled then it is fair. I remember last time that option ws switched on forum life became like demolition man.... most amusing..

They should ban the word grumpy, so the miserable old bugger cheers up a bit.
