I'm also going on Friday. Quite looking forward to properly seeing the different levels of trim they are offering and seeing Park Assist do it's thing. My colleague went yesterday and says the car is very impressive and the quality is excellent.

The car is very very solid, seing pictures doesnt do the car justice at all. the boot isnt that bad, the rear lights are a bit weird , but that is because if you look closely its the exact mirror image flipped of the headlights. a motoring first i think?? the self park is truely awesome, has to be seen, it is an optional add on at about £750, but in my eyes its worth it, inside the car looks really good, nothing to fault apart from mayby the glove box needs some work, its just not very smooth at opening, rear leg room is massive, take the badge off and you would have no idea its a skoda. Its a smooth ride, as you would expect, i tried the 1.8tsi and the 2.0tdi engines, both good i did prefer the 1.8tsi to drive around the track in as was more exciting and revvy engine, but did struggle a tiny amount up hills as you would expect with a petrol engine...skoda has got this car just about right

Auto park? I assume this works like the lexus thing (that didn't work particularly well on Top Gear a while back). I guess it can determine whether a space is big enough for it to get into before making a try? Would love to see it attempt a tight spot.

Interesting you should say that - surely Skoda has outgrown its old reputation in the UK by now?

I don't think the old skoda name has gone yet, tell people you drive a diesel skoda and you can still see the thinking behind the expression, mind you this is only with ignorant people nowadays, the sort who pay £100 for a white T-Shirt

Lol, I know a few of those people - the same who leave their bluetooth ear-pieces on as they pay for their petrol.
