Front seat rails

Hi,

Just thinking if it would be possible to relocate the drivers front seat rail to allow the seat to go back an extra inch or two?

No, I'm 6' 1" and find that my legs feel a bit cramped and would like to straighten them a bit more, just feel all that spare room behind the front seat could have allowed an extra 1 or 2" of front seat adjustment - so what if hardly anyone used it, the rear passengers certainly wouldn't miss it.

I personally think that the most forward position is rediculuosly close and that the closest 1 or 2" would seldom get used.

Well that is strange as I find it comfortable in mine and I am about two clicks from the back position, fully lowered and with a slight recline?

To be fair my girlfriend is only 5ft 3" so she is pretty close to the wheel when driving the 'barge' as she calls it.....

It maybe that your rails are set further back from mine to start with

Just drove mine again, my legs are no where near straight & even with the steering wheel in its most up position my knees stick out to clear the wheel. I get out after 50+ miles like a cripple.

Have you tried 'pumping' your seat down into it's lowest position as this moves the seat back quite a distance and I have mine in it's lowest position all the time?
