Exclamation heater plug light flashing

hi, can anyone help , my heater plug light has been flashing all day. has anyone had this problem before, would be gratefull if you could let me know the cause. the car is a superb 19 tdi 100 classic.

It means there is a fault with your engine management.

You need to get the codes read off, id suspect its either a blown brake light bulb or faulty brake light switch.

thanks lummox, just checked and all the brake lights are not working, so its possibly the brake light switch, do you know if they are easy to change?

Hi all, i have the same problem on my 55reg fabia VRS, although all the brake lights are working, and they go on and off when pressing the pedal, any other ideas before i get it on a diagnositc?
