Judging by the percentage of diesels in this list, VAG obviously didn't do their marketing homework very well with the Superb by offering it in the UK with a choice of 3 petrol engines. Given the depreciation of this vehicle, the diesel is really the only viable option in the UK and then only if you drive it into the ground.

It is a bargain as a second hand work-horse though.

TIPTRONIC I would say he will be, He will be getting his tomorrow night after he finishes work, I have already shown him this site, and when he gets his Superb he will be signing up. Have to say I am very impressed with this car, performance is excellent, had it out on its first long run, and returned 50mpg. Looking to get another now, and have my eye on a 54 plate Elegance in Silver, but will have to see how this one goes this week, as it will clock up just over 1000 miles this week, so that will tell me just how good it is. If any of you are up and down the M6 between Manchester Airport and Carlisle, I may see you about.
