Interior Lighting

The only interior lighting I have is footwells and doors. No Automatic overhead lighting but ok on manual. Have looked at other posts re this but just want to check I understand it.

Wiring node under nsr carpet likely to be rotted, probably by a water leak from pollen filter.

Remedy find and fix leak. cut out node and reconnect same. (Connector block ok to do connection?)

Re: Interior Lighting

Hi I have a 7 month old superb. Interior light did not come on when opening doors. Problem was with the module that controls the lights which in turn was caused by a faulty module in the door mirror. Took local dealer 3 visits to sort out.

Mine's nine months old but I had exactly the same problem and cause, although they had the car almost down to the bodyshell before they found the short circuit in the passenger door mirror.

Re: Interior Lighting

APril 2007 superb 140 diesel elegance with led's under mirrors - same problem as described, thanks for earlier posts - help much appreciated. HEavy dew in morning but had all worked well night before. Windows also had fused, replacement fuse seems to have sorted this out, but cant find any blown fuse for leds in mirrors or overhead interior lights. Now got footlights working. Suspect water penetration into mirror/door may have caused short. Will advise of outcome when dealer sorts out.

Re: Interior Lighting

Hey notsuperb
How did it go? I have the same problem. Central lock ok, but not on remote. Ceiling lights ok manually, not working when opening doors and unlocking the car. Wing mirror leds all dead.
All lights gradually disapearring over some days, weaker and weakr till all gone taking remote with them.
I've had water in it and replaced some nodes under carpet getting foot lights back :-)

Now suspecting remote/radio censor or ccm under carpet, or maybe ground connection somewhere?

Sorry for my bad english :-)
