Thumbs up L p g

Hello All (and sundry!)

Had my 2.8 converted on Monday. Tank in spare wheel well.
So far am unable to tell the difference between gas or petrol apart from even quieter on gas. Rev limit on lpg has been set to 6000rpm and the injector values matched with petrol settings. Now at 50.1ppl +vat I enjoy driving it more...........

Re: L p g

You will be able to tell the difference if you ever try to travel with Eurotunnel or many ferries. They will not let you on.

Eurotunnel you can't but should be fine with ferries.

Are these conversions expensive? Is the powershift grant still available?

Re: L p g

Hi.

I found a firm in Mid-Wales that charged £1200 inc. vat and full tank of gas. Took car in at 8.00am and it was finished by 9.00pm same day. This included setting up and testing which took a while. Choice of tanks etc and filler position. Authorised installer - imports parts/kits direct from manufacturer and works (and his staff) very hard. Loan car, and 2 years warranty. 4 cyl. cheaper.
Powershift grant no longer available - rogues! Shows that cleaner air means nothing unless it brings in billions for the treasury....................

Morning All,

Just to say so far lpg. is working fine although will be having it adjusted/fine tuned shortly to improve consumption which is working out at 20.5mpg. (I get 25.5 on petrol).

It's about 63p a litre compared to 113 for unleaded at the moment.

Re: L p g

I pay 58,8ppl. The conversion was done by Profess Autogas in Ystrad Mynach and is a sequential(spelt right?) injection system. Will have to double check on make when I get home.
Yes it was the cheapest I could find AND its been done very well AND as they stock lots of tanks you can choose which you want when u get there.
I will also look up the tel. number (not at work)

Happy Skodaing!!
