Default MFD into Superb Comfort

Hey peeps, I know this has been discussed before but I need clarification...

If I install a VW/Skoda MFD navi unit into my Superb Comfort, I will loose the use of the steering wheel remote and the maxidot display showing CD playing, radio station etc? Is this correct?

On the VWnavi forum, there is a guy who is talking about something to do with the MFD unit needing a "TMC" unit to plug into the "CAN-BUS" to make the screen in the dash work. I think he is reffering to the maxidot on a VW, but I was wondering if anyone ciuld shed any light on this? I really want to go for the MFD unit, but not at the expense of loosing two important bits of my car...

Any help much appreciated!

Having fitted an DX into my Superb Comfort you will indeed loose your steering wheels controls and your FIS display but worth it IMHO.....as for solving this I have the later DX unit and as far as I am aware you can't.....unless you have an elegance spec with the original OEM harness wiring in the vehicle for the DX unit...

"There should not be a problem with MFD in your Superb.
Even better if you have a multifunction steeringwheel, this have a CAN bus gateway so if you have a MFD version D the maxidot should function after beeing programed with VagCom

Good luck"

Taken from VW Navi, now I'm confused lol
