Re: My Superb

Nice to see some other 'modified' Superb's on the forum.....welcome!!

Kit looks interesting....do you have any other pictures of the rear of the car?

Do you have any plans to fit any bigger wheels and what suspension set up do you have?

Have you done anything to the interior?

Any future plans?

the rear? yup here it is..... not a very good pic...

the MS Design kit includes the eyelids, front spoiler, side skirts, quad pipes, boot spoiler and rear skirt.

my cab spoiler is from Reiger germany

interior, just spray painted the door strips to aluminum and have the Milotec aircon vents and door lever alumimum trim. bit too plasticky for my liking though...

okie, for suspensions, i like the OEM comfortable ride, and because i carry customers in my car, it has to be comfortable for journeys.

with that i wanted a lowered look, so i got the Eibach Pro-kit coupled with OEM shocks (yes, it can work, the eibachs were designed for the stock shocks). the ride dropped about 30mm in height.

that would take care of the rolly polly seasick feeling before the lowering and for better cornering ability, i've got Neuspeed Front and Rear anti-roll bars.....got them off a passat..

reason for 17"s is that this size is the best compromise for comfort and asthetics, not to mention, tires are affordable at this size and gets bit too expensive when approaching 19s"......

Looks interesting mate......maybe a little busy for my liking but fair play for doing something different.....you happy with the look?

I painted a lot of trim in my Bora and the results are much better than the standard trims.....

I fitted the Eibach Pro Kit to my Bora and I was happy with it but it just wasn't low enough for me but I agree that the ride is very much as good as OEM just with a 30mm drop...

Interesting comment you make about the comfort of the 17's as I find the interior in the Superb lends itself very well to the 19's and suspension I am running on mine but it depends on what you use the car for....

Can I ask if you have any pictures of your ARB's fitted? They will have surely helped the handling of the car no end? I assume these are off a B5.5 Passat? Did they just fit on with no issues?

i run on 17"s and drive around customers and my mom-in-law who hated my previous sport suspensions on my Toledo.....said it made her barf..... now, i won't want that on my seats, no thanks....... a happy MIL is a happy wifey....

as for the ARBs, i haven't taken a pic. BTW, our superbs come with front ARB, but they are hollow. The neuspeed ones are solid and thicker.... they came off a B5.5 passat and they fit easily, no modification required. The only slight difficultly was putting the clasps on one side at the rear where the brake lines are (so need to pry the lines off the torsion beam a little ) and bend it back, no problems.

next is the head unit, either MFD, Pioneer Sat Nav, or leave it with the symphony MP3 HU i got and change the speakers.

other perf. mods have to wait.......got to have $$, and there are several chipping options available here

BSR
REVO
Oettinger
GIAC
MTM
APR

......yummy!

I would appreciate it if you could sort out a pic of the ARBs mate as I would be interested in these mods....
