I have a Skoda Super TDI 2.5 2003. My windscreen wipers are vernosiy. The vibrate across the windscreen, unless the rain is very heavy. It is extremely annoyng, especially in drizzle, which is pretty common in this country. I have purchased two different sets of wiper blades in the past 6 months, from Halfords, without much success. Bosch & Hlaford own.I have also tried applying Rain-Ex, but this did not help the noise. Ideas?

| Noisey wipers are fitted as standard across the Superb range and if you doa search on this forum you will find plenty of discussions on it. Can I ask if you have the Aero Wipers or the the normal Wipers?

When you park the car, flip the wiper rubbers over by lifting the blades and moving them downwards then upwards slightly. The rubbers tend to become "set" in one direction which makes them judder. Parking the blades with the "set" in the opposite direction cures this. It's a nuisance. rotodiesel.

How can I tell what sort of wipers they are? I did not realise this was a known problem. Bloody annoying in such a quiet car. Seems daft, as my wife Fabia, has really quiet wipers.

Could be a bit sticky and greasy, with traffic grime, which could be adding to the problem. Wipe them over with some vinegar, on a non fluffy cloth, and see if they run any smoother. You may find some improvement. Soviet

Try cleaning them and your windscreen with a slightly abrasive glass cleaner like Auto Glym Car Glass Polish or Halfords Intensive Glass cutter, you'd be suprised what difference it makes.
