not quite 100% perfect job

Having read how easy it was to remove the boot badges. I plucked up courage and have just removed them from our 2.0 lt Superb. Must say the rear end does look much better without them. But, and ain't there always a but. I used the hair drier fishing line method whilst the badges and remaining glue came off relatively easily I manage to make a couple of very light rub marks. whats the best method of getting rid of these. The paint is black magic. Thanks.

Re: not quite 100% perfect job

I'd probably polish through them with colour restorer/T-Cut of some kind and then work your way up... i.e. T-Cut, polish, wax.

I'm sure our resident detailing guru will have a better idea though

Re: not quite 100% perfect job

Try using something like megs scratch X to polish any fine scratches out then a wax or sealant over the top of this IMHO

Hello Steve.

I live at Barton Stacey just North of Winchester. The scuff marks i mentioned really are not that bad (barely noticeable) I am certain they will disappear if polished with the right "Stuff". I will probably leave it until we have the car Professionally valeted By then I am sure my beloved will have added a couple of real scratches. No doubt you will have guessed that I'm still Suffering from new car syndrome.

Jenks

P.S. We both love the car.

I am a bit far away from you but I provide an excellent service of 'Car Detailing' and would easily be able to get rid of these 'scuff marks'........

Looking at the photos of your car, I would be more than happy to pay you to do mine. But I'm afraid Banbury is a wee bit too far away. Does anybody know of a car valet/detailer within say a 20 mile radius of Winchester who they would be prepared to recommend. I am probably looking to have it done late spring.

I would be willing to travel but obviously this would be reflected in the price....

You could have a look on A world for detailers... and find someone in your area...

Thanks for that. I will look for some one closer. The ever increasing cost of travelling would probably make you too expensive for us. Thanks for the link.
