| Not got round to checking the oil on my car yet - my old PD130 Superb enjoyed quaffing oil, so I'll need to sort this sooner rather than later. As long as I use 506.01 rated oil will the warranty be okay, or does it have to be Skoda's brand? I have a VW dealer 3 miles from me, but the nearest Skoda dealer is 13 miles in the wrong direction - would the VW stuff be okay, or would that invalidate the warranty even though it's still a VAG group car (and probably exactly the same stuff). Failing that would another brand be okay (Shell)? How they'd know which 506.01 oil I used, I've no idea....
