Opinions on 18"s...

I've finally got the money together to get myself some 18s.

I've got three styles in mind which I like.

New R32, New RS4 and RS8 styles.

I was just wondering what peoples thoughts were?

I know the RS8's have been done do death on Skoda's but i really like the New RS4's and the New R32's.

Re: Opinions on 18"s...

Not keen on the R32's, a guy down the road has one and I've always thought it was a cracking looking car but let down by the wheels.

I vote for RS8's.

Re: Opinions on 18"s...

Fluffy - LOL!!! (Old picture though!!)

Can someone please clarify for me that they are called RS8's?!?!? IMO Audi have never made an RS8 and therefore the wheels in question are A8's?!?!?

I personally would recommend that you go for something different than those 3 wheels shown? Why not spend that little bit extra and get a wheel that will really suit the car like some ACE132's or maybe some BBS CH's?

What look are you trying to achieve? OEM or OEM+?

Re: Opinions on 18"s...

Of the three shown i prefer the new RS4 alloys but as mentioned above if you have the budget then look around at some others, plenty of alloy wheel manufacturers out there but my personal faves are bbs lm's but there pretty pricey

YES, YES, YES, YES, YES.......I completely agree, only wise that I had the cash to have got the LM's over the AR1's!!

Here are some pics of how good the LM's can look (sorry none are Skoda's):

May not be to everyone's taste but I wish I'd have had those LM's on my Bora!!

Re: Opinions on 18"s...

'Ace' wheels, LOL!!

Not bad but I am not convinced that they would look good on the Superb?

Do you intend to lower the Superb in the future? If so then why not consider a nice 17" / 18" Audi OEM wheel or Seat wheel?

Re: Opinions on 18"s...

It is going to be lowered slightly (30mm) ut dont want to go drop too low as I drag a weekend shed.

My number one choice of wheel at the moment are the new Audi RS4 style wheels (middle picture at top of post) as I really really like the look of them.

I'm still exploring my options though....

Re: Opinions on 18"s...

Well if you like those then mate I would go for it, nothing to loose.

You could always go for the Octy RS Alloys (as shown in a photoshop that someone did for me below, excuse the tints and the bumper smoothing):

Re: Opinions on 18"s...

Already looked into the new Octy vRS wheels. Although PCD is the same, the Offset is different. I contacted Lummox to see if it was possible to fit them, and he said no

Ahhh, yes this is '4lows' new(ish) Bora off UK-MKIV's, lovely work and just as nice as his old Golf that he used to have.

Love what he has done with the wheels and it has to be said that he has achieved a lovely stand, certainly better than my Bora ever used to look!!
