Default problems cooling ventilator

Has anyone experience with similar problems ?
Skoda SuperB MY 2007 - 1.9 TDI 115
8000 km : oil in cooling fluid, oil cooler was replaced and cooling fluid system was cleaned by dealership under guarantee
10.000 km : cooling ventilator runs constantly on highest level, even if motor is not running
dealership has replaced sensors (they thought they were malfunctioning because of the oil that had entered the cooling system) , but problem stays
diagnostic computer doesn't show any problems at all
Thanks,
Geert

Well, if the fan runs even with engine off, I would say the fan relay is stuck. It happens, and it is an old Audi trait :-)

I think it is Relay 373, 8D0951253 or 8D0951253A, but I might be wrong

Anyway, it might be worth a try. Regarding the sensors, make sure they are well plugged in after replacement, although the ECU should complain if otherwise.

Thanks,
Could it be the relais even when the ventilator wasn't running after replacement of the sensors ? (+/- 50 km's , then it started running again) ?

Usually bad relays operate intermittently before getting stuck for good, so it is possible.
There still could be problem with temp sensor if it is affected by oil in any way (no idea if it is, but hot oil under pressure is not something I would take lightly)

Possible scenario is as follows: the relay got stuck in off position, your fan did not run, this led to overheating, pressure rise and damage to oil cooler. Now the relay is stuck in on position.

In any case, I'd swap the relay and see before checking anything else

Thanks again,

Problem was fixed by dealership. I dindn't get a full report of their work, but they replaced a relay (it was stuck because of water that had entered ???, ever heard of that??). Anyway, problem solved.
