Radio Tape Player removal

Greetings all,

Can anyone advise me how to remove my radio from its position in my superb please? (Standard radio cassette player)

I want to have a look at the back of the radio to see what I can and cannot plug in. (ie ipod etc)

Can anyone help please?

Hello, welcome to the forum.

Assuming your radio looks similar to this:



...put these removal keys (Autoleads PC5-93, sold at Halfords for a few quid)


...into the small holes at each side of the CD slot. When they locale, pull upwards lightly and remove the radio.

In terms of iPod, there are loads of solutions - but the majority depend on if you have or haven't got a CD changer. If you have you'll be limited to FM transmitter based solutions, if not then the sky is more or less your limit

To save money, I just cut up a credit card into strips the appropriate size for the slots (saved money by cutting up the credit card as well I guess) slipped them in the slots and it worked a treat.
