| Howdy folks, Just an idea what might happen to your rear windows of Superb: Mine stopped working downwards, the sound of the electrics told that the motor was functioning OK but the window itself didn't move at all. Luckily it stayed in place and did not dropped to the bottom of the door and crashed So I took off the cover of the door,(removed a lot of different cables) then pushed the window down by hand and also set the window equipment down from drivers door. Then there is a round plastic cover to be removed which shows the connection point to window & its mechanism when both are in their lowest position. Then I could see that only the round plastic connecting thing was loose from its place which connects both window & mechanism together so I just inserted it back with a screwdriver and added a plastic tube inside it, secured with a screw which clamped the round thingy firmly into its place. Voilá, the window came back to life again! Saved me a several hundred euros because the local stealer told me there is no little spare parts available to that door, only the whole mechanism which costs a lot €€€'s. Hope this helps if anyone will face the same problem with windows! rgds, FinPatch |
