| Re: Skoad/VW Sat Nav MFD Screen? i had this a couple of years ago when my sat nav thought i wasnt in oxford but 200 miles out at sea. Its usually because the satnav hasnt picked up the right satillite and has got confused. it needs a minimuim of 3 to get your location but usually has around 5-8 out of the 12 or so that are up in space. ive found switch off or try and do a new satillite search cures it. |

So it does sound to me as though it wasn't getting a good enough signal. Fingers crossed that is fixed itself. At least I can relax now knowing that my MFD has not died! | |

| Re: Skoad/VW Sat Nav MFD Screen? Quick update. My MFD has done this again a couple more times, but each time it corrects itself pretty quickly. I have come to the conclusion that it is a satelitte/weather issue. |

| Re: Skoad/VW Sat Nav MFD Screen? It could be a satalite signal issue, but it could also be due to the CD becoming dirty or unreadable. You could try copying the CD to another disk (CDR not RW) to see if its any better, or the laser could be dirty in which case try a laser lens cleaner in it.
