| Hi! I have a 2005 Skoda Superb 2.5 TDI, with in-built Sat Nav. The Disc which came with the Sat Nav is dated 2004. This has caused occasional problems, where e.g new roads have been built since 2004. It doeasn't even recognise the M6 Toll - it thinks I'm off-road and asks me to make a U-turn if possible (try that one on a motorway). I asked Skoda about an updated disc, and was quoted £119 (about a year ago) for the standard disc, and £167 (I think) for one which included traffic reporting. I think £119 is a bit steep for an upgrade disc. Does anyone have any alternative suggestions? Any help much appreciated. George. |

| George it's not an upgrade disk as such it is a whole new disk. I don't think you'll have TMC on your Superb so no point buying the more expensive one.

| I've bought discs from E-Bay that are cheaper, such as:- BLAUPUNKT TELE ATLAS UK - IRELAND 2007/2008 DX DISC - eBay Navigation GPS, In-Car Entertainment GPS, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 05-Oct-07 11:34:43 BST) I've got some to use when I'm abroad - if you can accept them a year or two out of date you can get them for only a few pounds. I bought one of Itlay with TMC and major roads in Western europe for £5.00 plus postage a few weeks ago. I've found it OK if there are one or two new roads missing' especially if you only use the disc once a year! The most difficult to get hold of at a low price are France. |

| Agreed. You're looking at about that to update an older TomTom/Garmin/etc so tbh that's not too bad for OE satnav.

| I've got a December 2005 Superb Edition 100 which I bought this summer. It had an old disc in it, but I bought a "Tele Atlas travelpilotDX -UNITED KINGDOM IRELAND 2006/7" for £13.07 off a guy on ebay! Surprise surprise it was a copy.... but I didn't really expect it to be anything else at that price! It also turned out to be the TMC version (a bonus ), which also works in my Superb. The guy seems to have been booted off ebay (unsurprisingly) but there's an original 2006/07 DX version on there now at £10 and various other 06/07 and 07/08 at £40 Buy it Now. |
