Hi all, Just found the site, well impressed. anyway, just a quick question, is there such a thing as a skoda superb double din fascia? i have just bought a double din dvd/tv/radio, it fits in there no problem, but, i have a gap all the way around the stereo, and it looks horrid !the stereo is not tight, i can easily pull it in and out of the double din hole !! so i hope they actually make one ! any help, thanks Derek.

Hey Derek, welcome to the site. That gap's usually taken up by the clip on surround that comes with the radio, or at least it is on single DIN units. Did you get such a thing with your unit?

thanks for the reply. no, not any plastic surround with this double din unit, if there was one, it would still not cover the gap around the stereo, i can move the stereo in and out no problem ! the size of the unit is , 165depth x 178width x 100height. i bought the unit from fleabay, item number, 150161568530 i think it is a double din unit, according to this, the sizes mean the unit is double din, ISO 7736 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia so i presume i can get a fascia, i hope !

? i presume that one must be larger, tomorrow i'm going to measure the unit, and also the original skoda single din stereo, with the drawer below it, just to see what size they are.

| There is no fascia that comes with the OEM DX Sat Nav unit, it just fit's into the whole that is left once your OEM Stereo and Drawer have been removed as the current large centre console trim piece dictates the double din hole. Surely somone like 'Autoleads' would sell a fascia surround?

i tried autoleads, no joy. i also phoned Skoda at Bannockburn, they said they dont make that part. after loads of measuring today ! i have found that the hole for the stereo is fine. as you say baker21, its not the actual hole, it is the large centre console piece that i need to make smaller. Thats the bit you pull off that surrounds the stereo and the hot and cold air controls. time to try and make one i think, gas cooker ring on, a hot knife, and a bit of old black plastic !!! lol thanks again guys Derek
