Re: The Superb?

I love the look of the car and if it's as good as my old one I may well be interested. However - I am led to believe that the largest diesel engine will be 2.0 litre. That won't suit me!
Hopefully they will give the option of the 2.7 V6 Audi engine?

Re: The Superb?

Yeah they will be a 1.9TDI and 2 versions of the 2.0TDi a 140bhp & a 170bhp both will benefit from DSG gearboxes. It would be nice for a flagship V6 diesel as they are making a 3.6 petrol, it would make sense. I think it's been excluded due to cost, I mean a car like that with a powerful V6 diesel is going to cost a fair bit even for Skoda, however the quality of the new Superb does look very impressive.

I can't wait to see the new TWINDOOR system either, it will set the new Superb apart from its rivals. All the details will be announced after the Geneva motorshow in March, also roadtests should start appearing on the internet soon after the motorshow. Still no 100% launch date yet, but I'm looking forward to getting one!

Re: The Superb?

By total co-incidence, my local Skoda dealer has just phoned me about swmbo's Fabia. No thanks, we'll not be buying another new one just at the moment, even at 0% interest.

I have the 2.8V6 Superb Elegance (and all its toys!) and wish a new one. Dealer hopes he'll have brochures around June and vehicles being delivered in September. Does this match info anyone esle has obtained?

Meanwhile, if anyone knows of an excellent condition 1 or 2 year old Elegance V6 being sold, please let me know! They are as rare as hens teeth!

Aren't all 2.8V6's petrol? The Skoda website is only listing 4 used 2.8 V6's for sale throughout their UK dealer network! Don't see any of the 4 near Kent tho

Re: The Superb?

Look on Autotrader... I think the V6 Superb is not what you might call dealer prime stock. I like them though but would not want to have one as we would never shift it unless it was well under the price of the V6 Tdi.
