Useful storage.

I wanted to take a spare litre of 507.00 engine oil for my AWX Superb when on holiday - not that it needed it.

If you open the bonnet and look immediately behind the front number plate, there is a pressed steel channel (crash bar) with its open side to the rear. A one litre oil bottle fits in there perfectly secured with a couple of large cable ties. Much better than risking a leak in the boot.

Whats wrong with the passenger footwell? If it leaks just squirt some fairy liquid on the floor and let the water ingress sort it out!

Re: Useful storage.

Is that a safe place to put it? I'm thinking melting plastic bottle or fire risk?

Had to pick some up for the octavia on way down to England last week, fits fine in side compartments of boot along with tire inflator and spare water....
