| Briskodian | wiper blades Silly question: Just taken delivery of a new Superb - what style of wiper blades should I expect to get, old style or the newer aero wiper blades found on the newer Audis and VWs? Cheers, Jonathan |

| Should be aero's. Mines an 04, and thats got them. Enjoy the motor, and the envious looks. Which model have you got? Let us know how you get on with it. All the Best Chris P.S Has yours got the lower chrome grill trim fitted as standard? |

| Briskodian | We got the Elegance PD 130 manual in Nightfire Blue with "solid" alloys and privacy glass for free - the leather interior is great. I'll take a look at the grill tonight. I'm pretty sure I've been supplied with "old style" wiper blades, looks like I'll be hassling my dealer soon. |

| Interestingly, it would seem that skoda have stopped fitting the aero wiper blades to new superbs, all the new superbs in my area are fitted with the old style metal back boned wipers. This might not be sutch a bad thing though, as although the aero blades are ridiculously easy to change, they are also ridiculously expensive if you buy them from a skoda dealer, try £15 per blade!! thats £30 for a set of bl**dy wipers!! Although halfords have just recently started stocking bosch ones at £17 odd the pair. Also the aero blades seem to be causing problems for all the vag group, they can be irritatingly noisy and are often the subject of customer complaints, certainly on our VW polo and Seat Leon they are incredibly irritating, and they used to be on my superb untill I bought replacements from halfords (old ones werent actually very old) So dont be too worried if you dont get aero's. John. |

| I have them and love them. The sweep is far more even and constant. You also dont get jittering blades when at speed. A bad move if they have stopped using them I feel.

| Briskodian | No major problems yet. We like the cateye illumination of the cabin at night and the memory seats and mirrors. The only stupid thing is the ease of accidently locking my keys in the boot. btw: our car *has* got the chrome trim around the front lower grill. |

Is it an easy fit to change from std type to Aero? Are the wiper arms the same or do they require changing out? Thanks Pete ![]() | |

| Briskodian | Re: wiper blades IMO I would never go back to aero wipers, my experience of them is they are rubbish. Some people like them, I agree that they look a hell of a lot better. You can get conversion kits to go over to the 'Aero Side' and I am sure someone will point you in the right direction. Sorry I could not help you, but welcome to the site. Regards SJ

| Re: wiper blades I cerntainly have mixed feelings on the Aero wipers. My original pair were squeaky and very annoying. Changed them just before the summer and these new wipers are brilliant. No squeks and they disperse the rain water with ease.

| Re: wiper blades The Aero Wiper blades are now not fitted on all new Superb's due to the amount of complaints that Skoda received about them. I had the old style blades on my Bora and upgraded to the Aero Wipers which made a massive difference, I was so happy with them. Now I have the Superb the Aeros on this car are crap!! Nothing else to be said about them, they are rubbish, they smear, they squeak and they judder!! I haven't put my finger on it yet but I believe it could be something to do with the Wiper Motor?

| Re: wiper blades I find that the O/E Skoda aero blades are crap, they smear, miss bits of glass, judder and squeak. I have replaced mine with Bosch Aero Blades from Halfords and not had a problem since, I have however found that you must keep the Aero blades impecably clean to get them working properly! |
