Anyone fancy a GT5 Prologue Challenge

I think it's time us PS3 owners had our own event.

Myself and Mr Pinner have had idea which is along the same lines as the eggbox challenge laid down by our resident God himself.

I'm thinking fuji speedway in the Msport 1 series, simply because it's car most off us should have as it's a freebie iirc.

Any other suggestions for cars or tracks are welcome, so feel free too rubbish my ideas, if you got a better one.

It will be run on a time trial lap in one arcade mode, as per the other thread ideas for TC, ESP, ABS are all welcome.

Cool, I would have a look through it now but I have a step-son asleep on the sofa atm as we have stolen his bedroom for storage.

How do you get an Msport 1 Series? Do you have to have loads of licences?

I'm Fenquil BTW.

Re: Anyone fancy a GT5 Prologue Challenge

It's quite a nice little drive actually - chuckable and sounds nice

Do you get it on completion of B-Class? I honestly can't remember

Any fellow peasants with GT4 on the aged PS2? I have a time attack for you, the Blue & Gold 05' Rally WRX subaru on trial mountain in arcade mode.
Let me know how you get on!
P.S -no lightening the car or increasing the bhp!

Looks like fun, but I don't have Prologue.

I bought Race Driver Grid instead...

My tag is Blade404 if anyone wants to add me.

Re: Anyone fancy a GT5 Prologue Challenge

How do you do the integra 1 lap challenge on the B class license?

I've tried it a million times and I always end up finishing 8th. Every time I'm 8th! I've tried late braking, no braking at all, adjusting the setup, wearing lucky pants, and still, I'm 8th!

Damn you, GT5!!!

Re: Anyone fancy a GT5 Prologue Challenge

I've done it now, you just switch all the traction control and everything off and it's easy!

Re: Anyone fancy a GT5 Prologue Challenge

Did find that one infuriating myself. Wish I'd thought to try your trick at the time! Think I eventually managed to get a 3rd place in, after umteen attempts

Come on and finish Class B; then you can have a go at this!

Am I right in thinking that proper online challenges aren't actually available/possible yet, and that those will come with the full GT5??

Re: Anyone fancy a GT5 Prologue Challenge

1:54 was my best so far.

You can play online, but it's just with random people, you can't chose who you play with, or start a group and send invites

Re: Anyone fancy a GT5 Prologue Challenge

Yes I've done the online 'randoms' challenge, but found it a bit boring/frustrating TBH...

Good time above - my Friday 1.53.8 must have been a bit flukey - had a few goes tonight and can't crack 1.58 for some reason

Re: Anyone fancy a GT5 Prologue Challenge

It definitely spurs you on to better times when you're racing though. I find my time trials times are never as good as race times.

Also Beer and GT5 don't seem to mix very well!

Re: Anyone fancy a GT5 Prologue Challenge

Well, I've got a competition running in my department and currently they have set a 1'30.567. Make sure you cut across the grass before the start/finish line! The first two bends over the brow after the start/finish line and the bend before the tunnel can be taken flat out if you get the right line!

Tunnel? Fuji Speedway? Am I missing something here??
