| Basic Phone Suggestion My Mom wants a new phone: she has an old Nokia of mine at the minute but wants a flip or slide one- she finds the key cominations to lock/unlock a bit fiddly. She doesn't need any fancy features at all. Cheap as possible. Can anyone suggest a suitable handset, and does anyone have one for sale?

| Re: Basic Phone Suggestion Nokia don't currently do a budget flip or slide. Motorola currently do a the w220 for £12.95 + £10 talk time (Takes a bit of getting used to though). Probably the easiest to use budget ATM is going to be the Samsung e250 which is £24.95 +£10 talk time. Despite the lack of flip she might be better off with a basic Nokia which ATM is the 2630 for £24.95 + £10 talk time. The SE T250i isn't bad for the same money either. |

| Re: Basic Phone Suggestion Another vote for Samsung. Very easy to use. SWMBO's had them for the last 5 years, and as a Nokia only user find it a doddle to use. |

| Re: Basic Phone Suggestion I bought a Motorola Razr despite it being seriously JarJared, partly because it's a flip with "open to answer" facility, and partly because it was one of the few phones I could get that had decent size buttons where pressing one meant pressing one, and not as many as 9 at once! |

| Re: Basic Phone Suggestion I've got a Nokia 3110 and although it isn't a flip or slide the buttons are quite big to click for unlocking. Battery lasts a long time too. Or the cheap little Samsung E250 would do the trick. Bet to get her to the shop to try them. If she's like my mum the strangest things can throw her out (buttons the wrong shape fr her nails, screen too shiny etc etc)

| Re: Basic Phone Suggestion Me ma, I said me ma, is using a Nokia 6131 flip phone which I gave her a few years ago. It's very basic and going from one Nokia to another should be a lot easier for her. The 6131 is a few years old now so you should pick one up on E-Bay cheap as chips. If my mum can use it anyone can ![]() |

| Re: Basic Phone Suggestion Just found one on E-Bay with 2.5 hours to go. Only £10 so far. Don't know what network you need though? Nokia 6131 on eBay, also, Mobile Phones, Mobile Home Phones (end time 11-Sep-08 20:00:00 BST) EDIT - Ignore that one, it's faulty. Sorry. EDIT Again - If you do want one of these let me know. My mum has just upgraded and might sell hers It's also unlocked. |
