| Cisco Exam Advice Lo all, planning on doing my Cisco exam prematurly before I finish the Net Acadamy as its dragging abit. I have read all the material for ICND1 + & ICND2 and Im very confident with it all (got a distinction in semester 1 and 2 with grades of 98%) so I think I should stand a chance of passing. Im wondering though, should I do ICND1 and ICND2 exams (640-816 and 640-822) OR do the CCNA exam (640-802)? My thinking is that if I pass the ICND1, I should get a voucher for ICND2 which makes it cheaper to do that route as opposed to the CCNA. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks, Mike |

| Re: Cisco Exam Advice Might bite the bullet and go for the CCNA instead, just thinking about the ICND1+2 means I need to do 2 exams which is a pain |

| Re: Cisco Exam Advice I think there are a limited number of CCDE's in this country -one agency mentioned 60-ish? I've only ever met one, a friend of a friend who's a contractor, and he had his own switch rack in his study. And a 911 on the drive. Phil |

| Re: Cisco Exam Advice CCNA's pretty easy , though past that they get quite a bit harder. One tip is every time they give you an example config , write it all down. Quite often you'll get questions later in the exam where you can get the answer from the notes you've just made.

| Re: Cisco Exam Advice I'm wanting to do the CCNA - I've a certain amount of hands on 'fiddling' type experience but while I can replicate the most basic of configs in work situations I far too often have to say "I don't know" and we get a consultant at £1700 per day...the business case shouldn't be TOO hard to write ![]() |

My kit consists of 2x 1900 switches, and 3x 1600 routers - not state of the art but enough to practice with. Looking at your sig you should be totally fine with it | |
