Mobile broadband - Which one?

I'm looking at getting a mobile broadband modem.

I have two requirements, firstly I want it to be pre-payed and secondly I won't want it to cost a fortune!

I thought there was one which was £1 for every day you used it, which would suit me perfectly... but I cant find it now.

Ideally I would like something which charges a flat rate for a day's use.

Anyone clued up on this sort of thing?

Thanks in advance.

Go to moneysavingexpert.co.uk - there's a deal with 3 at the moment £7.50 a month for 5gb download or £5 a month for 1gb download. You have to go through a site called Quidco to get it for that price - that's the cheapest I've seen, can't comment on the coverage though as I don't use them personally.

Re: Mobile broadband - Which one?

Whichever you chose, make sure the network has 3g coverage where you are most likely to use it.

If your chosen network does not have 3g coverage where you want to use it you will be limited to gprs data speeds and this can be slower than dialup.

Re: Mobile broadband - Which one?

I'm using my the T-Mobile mobile broadband and it works really well. I'm not sure if they do a prepay version, but my £15 a month gives me unlimited usage, and access to wifi hotspots for free too! There is a fair usage of 3gb, but even if you go over it, they will not charge you extra, they will just ring you and advise you. Three however bill you £3 per MB if you go over their allowance.

Go and speak to a broadband specialist in a CPW. They know the products quite well and there is a lot of choice!
