Are the standard hoses not already steel reinforced? I was under the impression they were.

I would be interested to hear of any further upgrades. The 312s are well worth the money and have improved my enjoyment of the car a hell of a lot. reccomended for anyone thinking of it.

Say one doesn't have a pressure bleeder...what procedure should I use to avoid master cylinder damage?

And also, please tell me they'll fit under these wheels from a 2003 TT...http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=015&sspagename=STRK%3AME WN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=250102103101&rd=1&rd=1

Just pump the brake pedal but only go half way down, should be fine and yes the brakes fit under those wheels.

Hi there, im new to all this so 1st of all, hello to everyone.
Quick question just had my fabia vrs re-mapped, now thinking bigger brakes, these 312mm brake, do they fit straight on with the original calipers or do the calipers need modding?

Truly amazing guide

Do you have any recommendation on where to buy cheap 312mm caliper carriers?

I am looking to fit those 312 discs to my octy elegance 1.8t with 288mm ones.

Cheers

Carriers are tricky, they dont often come up on their own but Steves kits are that well priced it would be worth getting the whole lot as the discs cost a fair bit anyhow.

should be ok , but the more worn the pads are , the longer the 7mm tip needs to be , so if the pads are well worn you may struggle to get the socket into the rubber boot

What's the gap like between the calipers and the standard wheels?

Some of the balancing weights are quite chunky!

Get my 312's and a pressure bleeder next week.
The guide is excellent. All that remains is; can someone advise the tightening torque for the 18mm carrier bolts and the 7mm allen key sliders?
Thanks.
