![]() But as there's still 36 odd hours to go, drag youerself along. I think the idea is to just get there when the gate's open and we'll all find one another inside somewhere. If you see a Fabia towing a Seat, that'll be Boyced and myself. ![]()

| Re: Saturday Night Special at Santapod so theres no meeting place inside ? I am still leaning towards coming on saturday. I wont be running my car down the strip, but would like to meet up with some people. Are there many others not running? One thing putting me off at the moment is it was really muddy last time I went and my car is sparkly clean at the moment. |

| Re: Saturday Night Special at Santapod thegavsters - there is a massive concrete/tarmac area the other side of the drag strip just keep driving round and park there, no worries about a muddy car! ![]()

| Re: Saturday Night Special at Santapod Was good meeting everyone! Jase, Shifty, John and all the others who i did'nt catch there names So what did everyone else get ? Apart from a knackered driveshaft I managed two 16.9 runs which i think is crap!I reckon i could get a 16.5 easy if i did'nt have 1/2 tank of diesel mind you i had a full interior and a spare wheel unlike some ahem 'cheaters' Got some pics and vids to put up later tonight, got a vid of John beating a 200sx by 1/10th of a sec, well done mate

| Briskodian | Re: Saturday Night Special at Santapod I just though I'd add my two penneth here too. I had a great time yesterday, and again it was good to meet the chaps from here. First time ever on the drag strip, and I've woken up this morning comtemplating when I can next have a go. Time wise I got 16.58 best run. My car's standard apart from a cupra pipe and filter, and I was running with a full tank of fuel, full interior, my 15lb bowling ball and my not inconsiderable 20+ stone frame behind the steering wheel. So I'm bloody well chuffed with that result. Best fun was head to head with a standard Golf 130pd (the driver's description), which I just managed to squeeze past. It was only after I parked up that I was told by Jason, John and Rob the Golf had a suspicious silver thing shining from under the front bumper. Don't trust Golf drivers, they tell porky pies, standard my ****....... Oh that and the fact that I upset some Clio 182 boys by running faster than them too. Next time I'll get there first thing and get some runs in the morning, seeing as I didn't actually arrive until just after 1pm. Oh and the Jet car was spectacular, 6.29secs at 269mph.... |

| Re: Saturday Night Special at Santapod It was a good day, nice to meet some more folks. Don't think i met you reffro, although i kept seeing you in the ever increasing queue. Best time, minus rear seats and spare, was 15.4, which i'm more than happy with. Looking forward to next time, once my eyebrows have grown back after the jetcar gave me a turkish shave. Hope you got home ok Jason/stiffler.

| great day out - more in October? Hopefully get the right wheels on for next time and get some better times. The last run of the day was the worst, I spun the wheels for the first 60 yds as the track was damp. (lot of wheel spin for 54bhp and very nearly a sideways moment) Some serious and fast metal there! Feel sorry for the guy in the mini tho, Jason only did a CV, this guy did a whole CAR! ![]() |

| Briskodian | Re: Saturday Night Special at Santapod Had a wicked time. fastest time for me was 15.68. Could not get the power down. Fastest last time was 15.64 with 3 less bhp and the car was full. nice to meet people although spent so long quewing that i hardly saw some people. if i didnt see you, hi. i was talking to some one about a vidio posted on the seat owners site with a furby raceing a renow sport v thingy. I cant find it but would love to see in. If any one know, please help me. talking of seats, had a great race against one, missede 2nd to 3rd change and lost out. gutted. I think it would have been a better time. |

| Re: Saturday Night Special at Santapod What a day. Had a great time even though I lost every race. The strip is so much better than york dragstrip. The downside with santa pod is that your racing anyone. at york cars are put into categories so its more competitive. Half of the races I was racing cars that had twice the power. Next time I wont come with a full tank, and a car full of gear while I will fit my smaller suzuki alloys. How much would it cost for 2 tyres racing slicks, 185/55r15? |
