SJB Autotech - Basingstoke

Have just had a leaflet delivered at work for a new VAG specialist in the Basingstoke area.

SJB Autotech 01256 477411, just starting out, so haven't used them yet.

Asked for quotes for work, £160 for a service and £220 for a cambelt on an Octy Vrs.

Re: New VAG specialist in Basingstoke.

Just had a text from them this morning, they can now service air con. Had my 110k service done by them last month, was really good price and pick up/drop off service.

Re: New VAG specialist in Basingstoke.

Have used SJB a couple of times now, got my car back on Tuesday after a major service and air con service and a few other bits and bobs to resolve a few ongoing niggling problems.

Jim is great to deal with and does a fantastic job. Driving better now than it has for ages!

Thanks for the recommendation Timo.

Re: New VAG specialist in Basingstoke.

Yepp, just called these guys, number has changed to 01256 477411 I believe. The chap, Jim, sounds like a top bloke and was asking £125 for the Fabia VRs 3rd year service which I thought was About £100 cheaper than Camberley Service Centre anyways Just an oil and filter change as far as I'm aware!

Mod's Note: That phone number is confirmed as being correct. I have updated the first post in this thread to reflect it. TY

Re: New VAG specialist in Basingstoke.

Must give them a try only about 3 miles for me. Got fed up with Camberley. Didn't really seem to be on the ball.
Only thing are they approved?? Just thinking of the stamp in the book!!

It was a pity about Jacksons, they were only 300m from my house. I think one of there mechs went to the Audi garage and one to the garage at Viables The rest !!!!!!

Re: New VAG specialist in Basingstoke.

Another thumbs up from me for SJB. Popped in today to see if we could figure out what the clunking noises my coming from my car were. Spent a while chatting to Jim, nice bloke and has been working on VAG cars since 1983!! Seems to be very knowledgable and prices seem good too.
I'll definately be using SJB for my servicing etc. as soon as my warranty runs out and I can't get Garlands to do stuff for free anymore!

It was nice to meet you Dan hope the octy is sorted now.I also had my car booked in today for the re-alignment of the xenons,Jim was say the least top notch and i will be calling back to have my car serviced there from now on.£130 for a mk2 vrs is slighty cheaper than skoda.

Re: New VAG specialist in Basingstoke.

Took my car to SJB a week ago for an MOT, unfortunately it failed and needed front discs and pads as well as a front wishbone replacing. SJB did the work and the old girl's running like a dream again.

Great service and really helpful. Even got a courtesy car for a day (nothing special though). Well worth using even though he was a tad more expensive than my old garage, Monks VAG specialist in Southampton.

Smile Re: SJB Autotech - Basingstoke

Tried them out with an MoT on my 4 year old Octavia vRS.
They get the MoT done across the way and then do any remedial work, but none was needed on mine
The guys there seemed spot on and Jim spent 15mins sorting out a small problem with my back seat when I went to pick up the car.
I'll be sending my car there for its next service in a few months.
