| Nope Alex but I can imagine it's very true for people with really small physiques. However I seem to have quite a beer tolerance and one pint with a good meal deffo gets me in a better mood than if I dosed myself up on caffeine from coke, TBH... Maybe if I didn't drink Coke... ![]()

| patkin - At the moment it's planned for the third, which is a Saturday. Colin - I think a new thread or PMs need sending about this, as the start of the thread seems to be a bit vague compared to the end. ![]()

| Nick - I'm positive you'll be very welcome. Probably not my place but I'm going to start one of those threads where you copy the list of names and then add your own. See if that works to generate some interest.

| Not sure to be honest Nozzer - welcome BTW. I Have TaviaRS' mobile number but dunno if he would like a P1 Scoob to come. I don't think you'd want to be shown up by all these lesser cars. haha. ![]() I'm saying nothing else... Welcome BTW - post #1.

| Exmoor eh? Care to divulge any good roads up there? It's only about an hours drive for me, but I've yet to discover any decent roads up that way (mainly due to never going there... [sigh]) Okehampton to Oswestry is less than 4 hours, so no probs for me.

| Cracking route, taunton to dulverton to lynton to simonsbath to taunton. About 120 mile route, done it with the subaru boys 14 timea as a run. We have normally 3 groups depending on numbers all at a different pace. The group leaders have done the route at least a dozen times so we know where we are going and what pace tto drive at. If your interested i could post when the next one is. |

| Nope, for a couple of reasons: 1. They know the roads, they know where is safe and where isn't - I don't. If you get seperated from the group due to circumstances beyond your control, you're stuffed. 2. I know some of the roads and the above is very likely to happen. 3. Traction, or lack thereof. 4. I drive like a granny ![]() 5. Gearing and handling - the RS is made for fast open stuff, unlike the scoob, which is made for tighter more explosive type driving/roads |

| I was not in any way throwing down a challange tto jon, A; I know his abilities in a car B; I rate the octavia very highly I know those roads like the back of my hand and always at speed, we have had many very quick cars try to stay in the quick group, ie GT3's, 996's, 993's etc and all fall by the way side quite quick. I still believe that a sorted scoob ie brakes and suspension is one of the quickest point to point cars. It is all about knowledge of the roads and trust in the car. IE, Jon is quicker than me around the ring because of knowledge and trust in the car, there is no doubt my P1 is quicker but he will wooooop my *** at the best place ive ever driven |
