next sunday is good for me.... (2nd July) and I'd say we should try Fox house, good food, big carpark, and some cracking roads nearby for a bit of a blast !

oh, and pete, I'll look in on the seats today, I'll have enough time to get back for the match, I'll nose around for an hour, even if I am the "only skoda in the village"! lol...

Re: Any Skoda owners in/near Sheffield?

Sorry Everyone
I said next Sunday, meaning not today
The match is too important

Let me get this straight then for everyone

Sunday 2nd July

Everyone with there name on the list post one suggestion for a venue
and we will average them out for the most popular
Hows that?

my suggestion is Centretainment.
Reason being superb choice of food/bowling/pub etc

Re: Any Skoda owners in/near Sheffield?

I'd be up for a meet next sunday, but I've said I'll mechanic for a friend of mine in a very fast mini up at hearwood hillclimb through the day, but I'd be well up for an evening meet. If you decide to do that count me in. Not too botherd about the location. I enjoy drivin the car.

Re: Any Skoda owners in/near Sheffield?

I agree with going with the majority, but would also prefer Fox House, better driving roads and more room to park Might have an issue with time however as I will have to get back from Dudley, so won't be back in Sheff until late afternoon/early evening

Re: Any Skoda owners in/near Sheffield?

Wow!
I only asked if there were people living near me, and we've ended up with a pretty good list for a mini meet.

Of course everyones welcome to show up

Ok. The meeting point is Meadowhall Retail Park , in front of the Aldi building.

The date and time is Sunday 2nd July at 3pm

This will give us time and space to meet, chat and view the cars, and take any pictures if they so desire.

Then we can decide what people want to do, eg bowling, pub, restaurant or simply get off home. We will decide this by a show of hands (I think thats the fairest way) and we can all convoy over and find parking (that way it doesnt have to be next to each other.)

I apologise to those calling for Fox House, which Im sure would have been a good location but we can always do that next time.
Most people seemed to favour Centretainment.
I hope this wont affect your decision to show.

Ok, once again

Meadowhall Retail Park ( in front of Aldi)

Sunday 2nd July

3pm

Hopefully everyone on the list will show, as it can really spoil a meet when they dont turn up

Look forward to meeting all of you, and seeing your motors

And hopefully we will be celebrating England making the semi finals as well

I will post up every night to keep reminding people, so there is no excuse for absentees

Lets make this a good mini meet and show us Yorkshiremen/women we can put on a good showing

Cheers

Damian

Re: Any Skoda owners in/near Sheffield?

ok... I didn't know there was an aldi at meadowhall?! where in the carpark are you meaning... the only carpark I'm familiar with is the main one (two levels) and I'm sure there's no aldi there if we are meeting at centertainment, would we be better just goin to the centertainment carpark? right down the far end where there are usually no cars... ?

in any case... directions for me to an aldi carpark? lol.! I'll come off the nearest M1 junction... if I went to meadowhall, I'd just turn right and straight into the two story carpark, or to centertainment, straight on and left?

PM me some directions if you would, I'm feeling thick, and there is a hell of alot of carpark at Murderhell!

Can't make it as I'll be driving my son back to Surrey (gotta have him back by 5). Maybe next time, then I can drool over all your "sporty" cars

ok mate
get off at junction 34 of the M1
head for centretainment, not Meadowhall, so straight on
Meadowhall Retail Park is next to centretainment
You will see Mcdonalds and Pizza hut as you are about to turn into Centretainment, head for them. so turn left at the lights and immediate left, you are now in Meadowhall Retail Park.
You will see Toys r us, Pc world etc, Aldi is in the furthest corner away.

It will be easier there to get lots of space for side by side parking, and enable people to get good photos and room to chat and walk about.
You cant always guarantee plenty of spaces at Centretainment, so this is the best way for everyone to be out of the way.

As I said, after the initial meet, and pics etc we can convoy over to Centretainment or wherever people want to go.

Let me know if you, or anyone are still unsure about the meet point

Here is the info once again.

Meet point In front of the Aldi store at Meadowhall retail Park

Date Sunday 2nd July

Time 3pm
