Re: Malt House meet (formerly known as Turnpike meet) 8th March

Just got back home. Nice to meet you all, although sorry that we couldn't speak to everyone. We got there and we were accosted by Drunken buffoons, so we were just about to leave when The Briskodians came over. Thanks for the rescue.

I though I recognised Mr G when he came to stub his tab end out in Mrs P's ashtray but wasn't sure. Nice to meet VRSLen and Mrs Len, and Starch.

I still haven't got a clue where the hell we were though. It's the dark, you see.

The drunken buffoons nearly spoiled our night, as we arrived early and were sat at the table that you were on.
Mrs G says she was the first to stub her tab out in your ashtray, not me
I apologise for not really speaking, but I was having a sneaky fag, and didn,t realise you were one of us sad Skoda lot
Why hasn't your better half got alloys on her wheelie?

Re: Malt House meet (formerly known as Turnpike meet) 8th March

When we first came in we only saw two Skuds outside so I thought there'd only be a couple of folk there, so with it being busy I dint realise that the large party at the tressle table was the Mighty Briskodians.

It was our first meet so we were a bit shy. Mrs P seemed to enjoy it though. She tried some Twenny Fo inch spinners ont chair but they interfered with the 42" plasma that rises out of the seat base.

Re: Malt House meet (formerly known as Turnpike meet) 8th March

Actually we were discussing the option of changing venues later on.
Did you find it wheelchair friendly?
It would have been nice to talk to you properly,as it may progress to a much bigger meet in the warmer months, and a fitting venue for more cars, and motorised single person mobility recepticles , or whatever wheelies are called nowadays, will have to be looked in to .
If you have any experience/advice on a suitable venue, please post details

Re: Malt House meet (formerly known as Turnpike meet) 8th March

It was wheelchair friendly yes. As long as there's no steps up to the door and there's a disabled toilet somewhere, then it's friendly enough for us. I don't really know the CleckHuddersFax area very well. The only venue I know with a big enough car park is the Tankersley Manor, J36 M1, but that's only coz it's about 10 minutes from my hoose. Ha ha ha.

Another enjoyable meet.
Don't think I've seen Mr and Mrs PittVRS and Starch before - so good to catch up with you.
Looking forward to the summer meets - should be more fun when the clocks have changed (wherever we end up having them).
Have the spies submitted their reports yet?

Andy, If you'd mentioned attrocities against Marmite I would have known you straight away! Here's me thinking you were from Sheffield. I do appologise.

Re: Malt House meet (formerly known as Turnpike meet) 8th March

Arghh the joys of leaving early for baby sitter and 4am get up, sorry to miss Colin and really sorry if we appeared ignorant to mr and mrs Pitt, just didn't realise who the hell you were and we were just leaving as the group moved tables, (thought it was just some poor couple who were being hijacked by the Brisky throng ). So apologies all round for leaving early, missing people and ignoring others Still very enjoyable and look forward to the next wherever that may be
