not when im giving stuff away, no. it is rubbish though. thought someone out there might want to give it a try but it needs a lot of work. if not its going in the bin. or in the sea, which evers closest.

If meeting at 12.30 then lunch will be a priority how aboult a walk down the hill, fish chips on the harbour, wander round to arcade for sprogs, back upto cars, drive over to Falling Foss, or over to fylingdales for a run over the moors and some scenery. Could do Goathland and Heartbeat country but on a Sunday might be full of the blue rinse brigade
Your itinery looks about right +Great pic opportunity outside the 'Aidensfield Arms' dont you think?

Postmanpats' itinerary looks fine BUT.....
Where's the 2 pint option?
I'm with the wife don't forget, and if she's in a pub I can control her spending

Re: Whitby Abbey Sunday 1st October

Dozens of 'em!
The one by the swing bridge is fairly large and does a decent fish and chips ( I think it's the Dolphin)
Hopefully I will be there early and do a recce.
If it's ok with peeps I will try to book 20 or so spaces for about 2pm.
If I have time this week I will suss out the local pubs/ eateries, and if it's ok I will book a spot.
Please let me know if this is agreeable.

The duke of york is a good pub (its at the bottom of the Abbey steps). Good meals although tight for seating(depends how many people want food etc). When i worked away it was 100% spot on, although like i say a bit crap really on the seating.
There is also the Kyber Pass(not a pub) Near the amusements on the corner very nice food about £7 for F&C with a pot of tea.

Big queues at The Dolphin is the norm. Pub grub might be more agreeable to most?

Re: Whitby Abbey Sunday 1st October

There is a magical tool called the Tinternet which enables a person to 'virtually' go anywhere they like.
Even to places like Whitby.
I need a drink now, fancy a glass?
